Geys is perhaps one of the most controversial figures in the Flemish art world because he combines the roles of a political agitator, a teacher and a visual artist. In Lophem, he makes the underlying religious atmosphere of the Kunsthalle explicit through his installation. Geys creates a resemblance of chapels using the truss and the pillar-like support structure of the space ?
